In the morning : French School recognized by the Ministry of Education
Our French immersion program, hosted at the Sainte-Famille-d'Urquijo School, a private Catholic school located in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, offers students the opportunity to master the language through intensive courses led by certified teachers from the French Ministry of Education. These teachers, experienced in French schools and following the official French educational curriculum, have a deep understanding of the expectations for foreign students. Each year, they welcome a large number of international students, which equips them well to help students integrate into French international schools and French lycées abroad.
The program includes intensive preparation for the DELF exams, ensuring students are ready to access French schools, both in France and abroad. Through this complete immersion, students will reach a level of proficiency in French that will open doors to French international schools and lycées.
In the afternoon : Surf Lessons on Legendary Basque Beaches
Dive into an unforgettable experience where language meets adventure! Every afternoon, students hit the waves for surfing lessons taught entirely in French. Surfing sessions take place on the iconic beaches of the Basque Coast, such as the world-renowned shores of Biarritz, a hotspot for international competitions. Perfect your French while riding the waves in a breathtaking setting that combines natural beauty and vibrant surf culture.
In the Evenings : French Cuisine and Culture
Immerse yourself in the heart of French living every evening! Join hands-on cooking classes led by talented chefs who will teach you to prepare iconic, balanced French dishes—all in French, of course. Savor your creations in the warm company of a French host family. This welcoming Basque family, with two children, opens their charming traditional home to a small group of international students for the entire stay. The rule?
